Delivering on Global Health: 14 Measures for the Danish Presidency

As Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union approaches, we, as civil society organisations working to advance global health, call upon Denmark to take the opportunity presented by its Presidency to advance EU commitments to global health equity, to leverage  and mobilise political and funding commitments, and to address the root causes of health inequalities globally.

To ensure that the Danish Presidency is successful in delivering concrete and ambitious global health goals, we call on the Presidency to:

1. Champion the EU’s leadership in global health 
2. Promote Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and strengthen health systems
3. Transform commitments into progress by championing health in the EU-Africa partnership
4. Scale-up EU financing for global health
